Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Mark A. Socinski, M.D. is Professor of Medicine and Thoracic Surgery and Director of the Lung Cancer Section, Division of Hematology/Oncology at the University of Pittsburgh. He also is Co-Director of the UPMC Lung Cancer Center of Excellence and the Lung and Thoracic Malignancies Program and the Clinical Associate Director of the Specialized Program of Research Excellence (SPORE) in Lung Cancer at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine and medical oncology.| 1. | Describe the use of clinical presentation and biomarker data to guide treatment after progression beyond platinum-based chemotherapy; | 2. | Review clinical trial data from studies of advanced NSCLC in support of subsequent lines of treatment in patients who have progressed through first-line therapy; |
